The SECURE Act’s safe harbor for 401(k) annuities was presumably well-intended. But it may be a case of too little, too soon. Let me explain.

Asset managers and life/annuity companies, of course, are more than ready to pitch income-generating products to the $7.4 trillion 401(k) plan market.
