Stock ownership in the U.S. has been rising steadily since 2015 despite the ever-increasing market volatility. Kim Rawlings, the founder and owner of Retirement Pension Review likened this phenomenon to “gambling”, saying that many Americans aren’t even aware of the alternatives to saving for retirement in the stock market..
Wink’s Moore on the Market: I did a BrokerCheck on this guy, and it appears that he is insurance-licensed only.
It really chaps my hide when I see “articles” like this.
First of all, this guy is positioning indexed annuities as an investment; an alternative to stocks.
That’s a big no no.
Then, he says “If the stock market is going up, you go up with it, if the market is down, you never need to worry about losing money.”
Never mind there is no mention of the fact that indexed annuities’ gains are limited.
There is no way this was reviewed by compliance.
We don’t need this. – sjm
