Relationships matter. Don’t burn bridges.

The very first week that I began working in the life insurance industry, my trainer gave me the best piece of advice, ever.
Keep in mind that I live in Des Moines, Iowa- the life insurance capital of the United States.
(Not to mention that our population is only a couple hundred thousand strong…I mean, I run into the insurance commissioner at the grocery store.)
At any rate…
She said, “Don’t burn bridges in the life insurance industry. No doubt- you will end up relying on that person, at another insurance company, in the future.”
Truer words have never been spoken.
I’ve never seen an industry with more turnover from one company to the next! The person I work with at ABC Insurance today, may be at XYZ Insurance tomorrow.
Unbelievably, this has multiplied by business.
How?
When someone uses Wink, Inc.‘s products/services with their employer, they come to rely on us. Then, when they move to another company, they tend to take us with them. I have clients that we have followed over four different home offices.
