NAIFA to boost training and education through proposed merger

The National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors would reach nearly 20,000 members through a merger with two other organizations that’s up for a vote this fall.

NAIFA, an Arlington, Virginia-based networking, certification and advocacy organization for financial advisors, insurance agents and their firms, would absorb two other groups it has already collaborated with over the years — the Society of Financial Service Professionals, a professional development network for advisors, attorneys and tax and insurance professionals, and Life Happens, an insurance education nonprofit, according to last week’s announcement.
