Wink’s Note: In a study done by MassMutual, 40% of consumers were unable to identify a fixed annuity.
Not surprising.
In the same study, financial professionals indicated that only 8% of clients were “highly interested” in fixed annuities.
The much-maligned annuity? NO!
Interestingly, 58% of clients aged 45-49 were “highly interested” in owning fixed annuities.
Now, THAT sounds like an opportunity!
But 44% of clients aged 45-49 already own annuities?
I want to know the basis of your study, MassMutual. I am highly skeptical of this last stat.
And 61% of clients were happier with their financial professional, after discussing fixed annuities.
