I’ve never really been a fan of Dave Ramsey. While I am not an avid listener of his show, the little experience that I have had with him is that he is in a position of power, and holding himself out to be an expert on things he is not.
He also uses a lot of absolutes (always/never), which I never feel comfortable with people using; much less in the financial services arena.
Today, someone asked me to watch this video of Stan The Annuity Man going over a Dave Ramsey video line-by-line.
Stan is my friend. I love him. He knows that he often drives me crazy, but I still have an affinity for him. The way he positions himself just makes me a little frustrated at times.
Today, I am proud of Stan. It is almost like he was channeling me in this video. Please give it a watch if you have a spare 17 minutes. I think you’ll appreciate Stan’s commentary.
