The Learning Professional is an experienced learning designer who is comfortable performing needs analysis, developing online and other training, coaching for performance, facilitating programs, supporting change efforts, and advising leaders. In Protective’s fast-paced environment, the Learning Professional must quickly exhibit a basic understanding of business goals, identify development needs, and deliver a tightly aligned learning plan.
The Learning Professional has responsibility for improving performance of the partner business units. Working with key business leaders and HR business partners, the Learning Professional works to uncover current performance gaps and future skills needed as the business evolves. The areas identified are then used to formulate a robust learning and change plan for building the skills needed for the future. The plan might include a mix of performance management, leadership development, employee feedback, formal education, and/or training created by the Learning Professional.
Things you’ll do:
- Design, develop, implement, and facilitate large-scale online, live, and blended learning solutions for employees, managers, and executives.
- Cultivate and manage vendor relationships to help drive efficiencies within the Learning and Leadership Development function.
- Serve as a team member or project team lead on a cross-functional project team for various HR related projects.
- Coordinate and facilitate HR events to include employees, managers, and executives. Example events include Executive Roundtables and “Road Shows” for key programs.
- Facilitate effective live and virtual learning sessions that demonstrate an understanding of adult learners and modern learning approaches.
- Serve as program manager for various learning and talent related programs. Example programs include Situational Leadership and New Manager Development.
- Critically analyze the end-to-end journey for all segments of the employee population to identify and drive improvements (including but not limited to orientation, onboarding, performance management, learning, personal development, and career development).
- Analyze and mine complex data to help inform key talent and learning related decisions.
- Create marketing and communication materials to support programs and initiatives.
- Create and present reports and insights to key leaders.
- Consult with leaders on organizational development.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
· 5+ years of experience providing learning design and delivery solutions via multiple methodologies to varied audiences in a corporate environment.
- Experience administering learning management systems.
- Experience using content authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360) and other learning technologies to design, develop and deliver high-quality online learning.
· Understanding of learning, development, and performance improvement methods.
- Experience developing high quality marketing and communication materials.
- Experience consulting leaders at various levels on performance issues.
- Experience coordinating and facilitating adult learning both in-person and online.
- Strong accountability, analysis, attention to detail, change agility, communication, collaboration, initiative, planning and organization skills.
- Ability to work remotely and with remote teams and employees as needed.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred experience/training:
- Master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology or related field.
- ATD and/or SHRM certifications.
- 2+ years of experience designing and/or delivering management training.
- Experience with various personality and developmental assessments (e.g., 3600 feedback, HBDI, DISC, MBTI, Emotional Intelligence, Inclusion, Hogan, etc.).
- Experience navigating and leading transformational change.
- Experience with performance management, talent management, and employee survey processes and platforms.
