Life Insurers Equal About 19% of Social Security: MetLife to Policymakers

The U.S. government is on track to report a $3.3 trillion deficit for federal fiscal year 2020, and to end the fiscal year with about $20 trillion in debt, on $3.5 trillion in 2020 revenue.
MetLife is trying to keep Congress from thinking of the life insurance industry as a great source of cash to fill budget holes.
