FINRA Announces Delay in Online Test-Taking Registration

The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority has decided to further delay scheduling for online test-taking for exams that were slated to begin on May 24.
FINRA and the North American Securities Administrators Association had said broker-dealers and their registered reps could start scheduling their online test-taking appointment for exams today. The online testing is to be administered remotely by Prometric.
The online testing delivery service, which will allow candidates to use their camera-equipped computer to take qualification exams, has been in a pilot phase with certain broker-dealers since late April. FINRA said late Sunday that it needs more time to pilot the service.
FINRA said that it “will continue to refine the implementation of this online service and will communicate an anticipated launch date in the near future.”
