  • Lincoln Financial Group Named to Forbes JUST 100 as the #1 Insurance Company for Customers

November 13, 2019 by Lincoln Financial Group

RADNOR, Pa.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Lincoln Financial Group (NYSE:LNC) has been named to the Forbes JUST 100 list – an annual ranking conducted by nonprofit organization JUST Capital in partnership with Forbes Magazine. The JUST 100 names the top 100 publicly-traded companies in America that are delivering on the issues that matter most to consumers – such as worker and customer treatment, community involvement and environmental impact. Organizations on the JUST 100 list are selected based on survey data from thousands of Americans, about what they want and expect from the country’s biggest companies.

Lincoln Financial is ranked number one in the insurance category from a customer perspective, which considers factors like reliable products, positive customer service, protection of privacy and more. Lincoln ranked number 66 on the list overall, out of the 922 companies that were analyzed.

“Our strategy at Lincoln is driven by our purpose: to help provide financial peace of mind to Americans – enabling them to plan for and protect their financial futures. With every decision we make, we always consider two very critical factors – what is in the best interest of our customers, and what is in the best interest of our employees. We’re honored that our company values are recognized by Forbes and JUST Capital,” said Dennis R. Glass, president and CEO of Lincoln Financial Group. “We are committed to advancing responsible business practices and addressing the needs of our customers and communities, to ensure we can all look toward the future with confidence and optimism.”

Examples of Lincoln’s commitment to promote responsible business practices include:

    • A company culture of diversity and inclusion that permeates every level of the organization, and is central to its leadership expectations. In 2017, CEO Dennis Glass proudly signed the CEO Action for Diversity and Inclusion, pledging to advance diversity in the workplace. As of 2019, women comprise 61% of the company’s 12,000-plus workforce, exceeding industry and government benchmarks. In addition, women hold 50% of all management positions.
    • An industry-leading advocate for its customers, Lincoln earned ranking as a 2018 Top Call Center in North America by BenchmarkPortal for its Annuity and Life Operations call centers.
    • A dedication to serving Lincoln’s communities by funding nonprofits that support low-income Americans through difficult times, so they can prepare for and work toward a secure future. In 2018, Lincoln served more than two million people through grant dollars and thousands of employee community service hours.
    • Comprehensive employee benefits, financial wellness programs and development opportunities to help workers thrive personally and professionally. With a strong focus on continuous learning, employees have completed 100,000 hours of in-house training and have access to more than 200 comprehensive courses.

“Our teams work hard every day to ensure our commitment to corporate responsibility is woven through every aspect of our business and culture,” said Lisa M. Buckingham, Lincoln’s chief people, place and brand officer. “I know that we are doing right by our people, our communities, our current customers and the customers we aspire to serve. And I’m so proud of our amazing employees for bringing our commitment to life.”
