H.R. 1994, the Setting Every Community Up for Retirement Enhancement (SECURE) Act, can play an invaluable role in helping increase retirement savings and improve the employer-provided retirement system by encouraging small-employer retirement plan coverage and promoting worker participation and education. NAFA is especially encouraged that the bill will facilitate enhanced annuity options for small-employer retirement plans, something that will help address longevity issues.
