Kirt Walker Set to Become Nationwide CEO

Kirt Walker will be taking over from Steve Rasmussen as chief executive officer of Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company Oct. 1, the company announced today.
Rasmussen — who has been Nationwide’s CEO sinc 2009 — is retiring.
Rasmussen began working for Nationwide since 1998, after the company acquired his previous employer, Allied Insurance Company of America.
Kirt Walker, who has been the president and chief operating officer of Nationwide’s financial services operation since 2009, is now the Columbus, Ohio-based company’s CEO-elect.
