Variable annuities have seen some hard times recently, with sales having declined for six years in a row. In fact, last year’s sales of about $96 billion were the lowest in two decades. But independent broker-dealers soldier on, and we’ve rounded up a list of the 10 IBDs that had the most revenue from variable annuities last year.

These data were collected from firms that participated in InvestmentNews’ independent broker-dealer survey.
