CNO to Give Up Indianapolis Arena Naming Rights

CNO Financial Group Inc. says it will be giving up the naming rights for Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
The 20-year naming rights agreement is set to expire on June 30, 2019. CNO, the Carmel, Indianapolis-based parent of Bankers Life and Casualty Company, says it will let the contract expire.

The Bankers Life Fieldhouse is the home to the Indiana Pacers men’s basketball team and the Indiana Fever women’s basketball team.
Gary Bhojwani, chief executive officer of CNO, said in a statement that CNO is working with the company that runs the arena, Pacer Sports and Entertainment, to work on the next phase of their collaboration.
“CNO is proud to be headquartered in central Indiana and to support the communities where our associates live and work,” Bhojwani said.
CNO has about 1,200 employees at its offices in Carmel. Carmel is a suburb of Indianapolis.
The company’s units sell life insurance, annuities, supplemental health insurance products, and stand-alone long-term care insurance.
CNO negotiated the arena naming rights agreement in 1999, when the company was known as Conseco. The arena was known as Conseco Fieldhouse from 1999 to 2011.
