Allianz Life Hires Robin Holicky as Assistant Vice President, Life Underwriting

MINNEAPOLIS–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America (Allianz Life®) has hired Robin Holicky as assistant vice president of Life Underwriting. In this role, she is responsible for life underwriting strategies that support automated systems, health interview processes and service-model changes to enhance the customer experience. Holicky reports to Vice President of New Business Sandy Gudvangen.
“Robin brings nearly 25 years of underwriting experience to Allianz Life,” said Gudvangen. “Her extensive knowledge will be an asset to our life insurance team as we continue to grow market share while providing outstanding service to our clients.”
Before joining Allianz Life, Holicky was an underwriting manager with Prudential Financial in Minneapolis. In that role, she supported one of the company’s largest independent distribution partners by reviewing high-level underwriting cases and leading a team of 19 underwriters. Prior to that, Holicky was associate director with The Hartford in Minneapolis where she managed an underwriting office and spearheaded a service project that increased market share. Additionally, Holicky held underwriting roles with Zurich Life Insurance in Schaumburg, Ill. and American Express Financial Advisors (currently known as Ameriprise Financial in Minneapolis).
Holicky earned a Bachelor of Science degree in international business from Minnesota State University in Mankato, Minn. She holds FLMI (Fellow Life Management Institute) and FALU (Fellow Academy of Life Underwriting) designations.
