I’m researching independent marketing organizations and field marketing organizations in search of a partner with a great indexed universal life platform. Qualities that are important to me in a partner are knowledge and understanding of the product, marketing and lead generation, and internal support.
What are some strategies for finding an IMO/FMO partner with great IUL experience that can help me grow my business?

Let me first start off saying that I’m a broker general agent (BGA).
When we look at indexed products, we look at a variety of products. We want to have more than one company that offers IUL.
Having variety is important because companies are often making changes and we need to have a carrier that’s been in the market a long time. With the new DOL rule, the world of insurance and investment strategies is rapidly changing.
My best advice is to partner with an organization that can provide a wide array of contracts with multiple carriers and at the same time support any investment regulatory issues you may have to deal with — especially if you are a registered rep only.
