Eileen McDonnell, Penn Mutual CEO, Named 2016 Business Leader of the Year

Drexel’s annual award a 62 year tradition
Horsham, Pa. – April 25, 2016 – Eileen McDonnell, chairman and chief executive officer of The Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company (Penn Mutual), was named the 2016 Business Leader of the Year by Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business.
A luncheon was held Apr. 5 at the Hyatt at The Bellevue, honoring McDonnell and her achievements.
The LeBow College of Business has named a Business Leader of the Year annually since 1954, celebrating many notable leaders, including media mogul and philanthropist H. F. “Gerry” Lenfest; real estate investment guru Ira Lubert, co-founder of Independent Capital Partners; and Al West, founding CEO of SEI Investments Co.
Frank Linnehan, PhD, dean of LeBow College of Business said, “As the 18th CEO of one of the oldest companies in the Philadelphia area, Eileen is a business leader who is well deserving of this recognition. We are very pleased to be adding her name to our list of honorees.”
