Total Overall Indexed Annuity Sales (2015)

At Wink, we have been tracking indexed annuity sales by insurance carrier each year since 1998 in our quarterly Wink’s Sales & Market Report. Did you know that All-Time sales for indexed annuities through 2015 are over $439.9 billion according to Wink’s Sales & Market Report?! Wow!!
A couple of years ago we thought it would be interesting to compile the year-end sales to see which carriers would be in the top ten for total overall indexed annuity sales. We are continuing the analysis this year by updating the “Total Overall Indexed Annuity Sales” data through 2015.
In reviewing the results, Allianz Life leads in Total Overall Indexed Annuity Sales with aggregate sales of over $95.2 billion. Since Athene acquired Aviva in 2013, the combined sales propelled Athene USA to the #2 position while American Equity comes in a close third place. Midland National Life, and Voya continue to round out the top five sellers of indexed annuities respectively, over this 17-year period.
