Yay for Technology! Changes to Wink's Sales & Market Report

Hi there. A little over a year ago, I gave you a heads up on some changes that were occurring with Wink’s Sales & Market Report. I am writing this to communicate additional changes to our flagship report.

Wink’s Sales & Market Report has served as the insurance industry’s #1 resource of indexed insurance product sales since 1997; providing sales by product, company, crediting method, index, distribution, surrender charge period, and more. I am very proud of the fact that our report has always provided more data points than our competitor’s comparable reports. For example, in the first quarter of 2015, we were collecting more than 600 data points, in order to provide you with unmatched sales information. That is a lot of information!

In the second quarter of 2015, we stepped-it-up and made major enhancements to our report in response to feedback from our subscribers. We began providing Excel spreadsheets for company-level sales, product-level sales, and distribution-level sales. We also added traditional fixed annuities and multi-year guaranteed annuities to the product lines we are reporting on. PLUS, we began reporting sales by product, by distribution. The last two enhancements alone increased the number of data points that we collect to more than 5,500- a nearly 1,000% increase!

Soon, Wink will also begin collecting, and reporting data on additional product lines:

– Traditional universal life

– Whole life

– Term life

When this expansion of our sales reporting occurs, the number of data points we are collecting could easily increase another 200%. I am truly proud of how we have grown this report over the past decade. The value of this report continues to blow my mind!

And while we’ve been busy collecting all of this valuable information, we’ve had our VP of Operations, Tori and our web developers working on some wicked-awesome enhancements on the website. As a result, I am pleased to announce that you can now log on to www.LookToWink.com and download every subscription PDF and Excel file that we have distributed with Wink’s Sales & Market Report, since you first began subscribing.

You will simply receive an email, asking you to log in to the Wink website, and download your applicable reports. Yay for technology!!

Tori and our web developers continue to work day-and-night on an enhancement that we hope to introduce sometime next month: a sales data query. This new query will give you the ability to harness all of Wink’s valuable sales data. Plus, you’ll be able to customize your queries to time periods that YOU specify.
