A new segment of the popular show discusses the importance of Life Insurance for consumers…
In an informative and compelling Behind The Scenes segment with host James Earl Jones, a team of industry experts will delve into the importance of life insurance and the lack of coverage widespread in today’s society. The short-form documentary will debunk common misconceptions about the cost and need for life insurance.
In the United States, the biggest financial concerns are paying monthly bills and saving enough to retire comfortably. Despite the risk of putting a financial burden on family members due to premature death, life insurance is listed as the seventh greatest financial concern, according to the 2015 Insurance Barometer Study conducted by LIMRA. The most significant reasons individuals are not buying life insurance policies are perceived cost and not feeling the urgent need for coverage. In fact, survey results show that most people think life insurance premiums cost up to three times more than they actually do. There are also discrepancies on how much coverage to actually get with both men and women reporting they didn’t feel like their policies were comprehensive enough to provide for their families.
Behind The Scenes is created solely for Public Television and distributed to television stations throughout the United States. Each episode of the program is filmed in high definition and must meet the highest of quality assurance standards before being approved for air. Besides having TV and movie veteran James Earl Jones serving as host, the program also employs an award-winning team of writers, producers, and videographers. It isn’t released or produced by PBS or APT.
