Insurance industry added more jobs in September

Insurance industry employment year over year was up for every sector— save one — in September, according to data published Friday by the U.S. Labor Department’s Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) and compiled by the New York City-based Insurance Information Institute.

For the 12 months ending in September, Property and Casualty (P&C) carrier employment rose by 3,000, or 0.6%, to 523,900. But employment in this category was down 1,200, or 0.2%, in September from August. Click HERE to read article
