LifeMark Partners President Bill Shelow Named CEO

BALTIMORE – March 18, 2015 – LifeMark Partners, one of the nation’s largest independent national life insurance marketing organizations, today named William J. Shelow chief executive officer (CEO). Shelow, who has served as president of LifeMark since September of 2011, will retain both titles.
“As LifeMark Partners president for more than three years, Bill developed a stellar reputation within the industry for his integrity and forward-thinking approach,” said Mark Rosen, president of Underwriters Brokerage Service in Pittsburgh and chairman of LifeMark’s board of directors. “His ability to build relationships with our partners, carriers and others has significantly enhanced the value of our organization, already a leading independent insurance distributor. His promotion to CEO is well deserved and demonstrates the confidence that the board and partners have in him as we move forward.”
Before joining LifeMark, Shelow was president of Duncan Financial Group in Irwin, Pa., and CEO of Wealth Preservation and Management (doing business as Atlantic Financial Group), one of LifeMark’s 37 brokerage general agency (BGA) partners. Prior to that, he enjoyed a 25-year career with Harleysville Insurance Companies, ultimately as president and COO of Harleysville Life Insurance Company.

Shelow, who earned his bachelor’s degree from Penn State University’s College of Health and Human Development, holds several professional designations, including Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and LIMRA Leadership Institute Fellow (LLIF). He lives in Collegeville, Pa., with his wife and three of his five children.
