Carmel, IN – October 3, 2011- Raymond J. Ohlson, CLU, CRC, President and CEO of The Ohlson Group, announces that Mark A. Farr, CLU, ChFC, FLMI, has joined the company in the newly created position as Financial Services Consultant to the property and casualty industry in Indiana. Farr will be working with Gary Ryan, J.D, LL.M, CLU, ChFC,head of the Ohlson Group’s Life Division, as they assist property and casualty agencies in Indiana to develop or increase their presence in the life and retirement planning markets. “The entire financial services industry is getting very complicated and very specific,” says Ohlson. “We believe that strategic alliances between these various disciplines will provide valued services by offering better service, processes, and value for consumer and advisors alike.
The Ohlson Group will work as an extension of the general insurance agencies in the “total account development” of their current customer base. “The first sale is the most expensive,” says Ryan, who served as president and chief marketing officer of major U.S. companies. “We believe that we can assist the agencies in developing additional streams of profit by getting a larger share of their clients’ insurance wallet.
