The insurance and retirement services arm of Depository Trust & Clearing
Corp. (DTCC) has introduced the Analytic Reporting Service for Annuities, a
service that draws on DTCC daily annuity transaction data.
The Web-based service will provide customizable, searchable information about
annuity inflows, outflows and net flows, according to the DTCC, New York.
The service also will provide analysis by product, carrier, distributor,
agent and investor, and it will offer an option for creating custom market
segments, the DTCC says.
The DTCC is hoping the service will appeal to insurers and to the
broker-dealers that sell annuity products.
The DTCC runs a system that now processes about 150 million annuity
transactions per month.
The DTCC is providing the service through its National Securities Clearing
Corp. (NSCC) arm.
The DTCC and its affiliates settled about $1.7 quadrillion in securities
transactions in 2010, the DTCC says.
