New Jersey is entering the Interstate Insurance Product Regulation Compact (IIPRC).
The IIPRC, Washington, is a voluntary group that tries to simplify the product filing process for insurers. An insurer can send a single form to the IIPRC rather than having to submit separate forms to dozens of different states.
New Jersey will let the IIPRC handle its life and annuity product filings starting Jan. 21, officials say.
For now, New Jersey will continue to review long term care policy filings at the state level.
