McDonnell, O’Malley Named to Top Posts at Penn Mutual

HORSHAM, Pa.
The Penn Mutual Life Insurance Co. has named Eileen McDonnell president and has elected her to the 163-year-old company’s board of trustees. The company also named David M. O’Malley executive vice president and chief financial officer.
As president, McDonnell will lead the day-to-day operations. She joined Penn Mutual in February 2008 as executive vice president and chief marketing officer as well as chairman of the board of Hornor, Townsend & Kent Inc., and as a member of the Janney Montgomery Scott LLC Board of Managers. The two organizations are subsidiaries of Penn Mutual.
O’Malley joined Penn Mutual’s investment department in 1994. Most recently, he served as executive vice president with oversight of product management, technology, producer and client services, the project management office and underwriting and new business. As CFO, O’Malley will now add financial operations to his list of responsibilities.
Penn Mutual currently has a Best’s Financial Strength Rating of A+ (Superior).
