    That’s right- I asked it. Do you ever get tired of the sleaze in our business? You know what I am talking about- the guys advertising 12% commissions on annuities? You know who you are…

    Well, I am sick of it. I hope that you are too. I spend more than 70% of my time cleaning-up these dirty deeds. You probably have lost more than one case because of negative media that arose from shady advertisements. My advocacy work on behalf of this industry now takes up more time that my three websites combined; just because of some shysters trying to get rich quick by praying on unsuspecting agents.

    First of all, Mr. Other Name Withheld- your English is horrible! You make us look like a bunch of high-school graduates, bumbling around, barely able to draft communications to our clients. “No non-compliant stuff.” Really? That is classy.

    Secondly, Mr. Other Name Withheld- you don’t have to put the “MASSIVE Annuity Commissions” part in 36-point font in your ad. We all see you out there with all of your ignorant glory.

    Thirdly, Mr. Other Name Withheld- just get out of our market. I don’t even want to be associated with you. Do us all a favor and go start selling cars.

    Come on, folks! Is this REALLY how we want to be portrayed in the annuity industry? I should hope not. Do YOU think it is an accurate portrayal of most of our business? No. Can you blame the media, however, for thinking that all of our products pay double-digit commissions in light of ads like this? I can’t. They are not the experts; they do not have access to the resources we have.

    Do me a favor. Make all of our jobs easier. Quit advertising trash like this. It will benefit everyone in the long run.
